Week 11

Penultimate

Hello Gamesoc,

With just two weeks remaining we're getting ever close to our AGM and the cycling out of our current committee. There are still a few things left to do before this though, so here comes another week teaming with events and gaming fun.

Buffalo Buffalo

That's right the much anticipated sequel to last year's guerrila gorrila is almost upon us. This year with even more ZOO!!! Ok I can't really claim that, how about: Definitely not any less ZOO!!! Yeah, that'll do.

Basically Gamesoc take some time out to chill in the sunshine (wind, snow or hippos)and enjoy all the delights of Dublin Zoo. Also, we make it a game. That's right now you can enjoy the animals laughing, eating or publicly masturbating while you solve another of Pete's ridiculous quizes.

Seeing as last year's top score was 15/20 and the average was 1/20 I'm pretty sure we'll be seeing some hot competition for this year's top prize.

Magic: The gathering

This thursday we have something a little special for our magic fans. Sitting on my bed at the moment is a timespiral box of tournament packs. This week we will be drafting the entire box, anaconda style. The list of entrants is up on the forum. It should be full at this point but there is always the option of adding yourself to the reserves list in case someone drops out. For those attending we'll be meeting in Café brava and the price will be €12.50.

The AGM

With only two weeks to go, our AGM is just over the horizon. Gamesoc's future lies in the hands of those who choose for its existence to continue. Whether we've catered for your gaming needs this year or whether you never came to a single event, the continuation of this society needs you. If you think you could make a valid contribution to the committee then please get put your name forward to be elected. If not then please do your part by coming to our complimentary AGM party, where gaming, beer and pizza are on us. It should be a great night. That's Thursday 22nd April. Your attendance is much appreciated.

Misquote of the week:
"A man is not old until regrets take the place of games. "
